We read captions when they exist. When they do not, AI watches the video itself — unlike tools that rely on a transcript.
Long videos, all the way
Videos too long for one pass are split into chunks, analysed, then stitched back together. We do not stop at the first few minutes.

watch?v=, youtu.be, shorts and embed links all work. Shorts can be pasted as they are.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work without captions?
Yes. We read captions first when they exist; otherwise AI watches the video itself. If even that is not possible, we summarize from the title and description.
How long does a long video take?
It depends on length. Short videos finish in seconds, while long ones can take a minute or two because the captions are split and analysed in chunks. Please keep the tab open.
Do Shorts work?
Yes. Paste a youtube.com/shorts URL as it is. Short youtu.be links and embed URLs work too.
What about private or members-only videos?
Those will not work. Anything that needs a sign-in cannot be read. Only public videos can be summarized.
Is the summary saved?
Not from this page. Save the link in the Linkclip app to keep it — the summary and category are stored with it.
